Description

Cross Sum puzzles are simple math puzzles, where you have to solve 6 calculations – 3 horizontally, 3 vertically – using the numbers 1 to 9. There are some additional rules:

• Calculate from left to right: 1 3 x 4 = 16, not 13
• The first operator can be plus or minus, the second can be all four
• The intermediate result and the end result have to be zero or greater
• Only integer numbers (whole numbers) are allowed, no fractions

Using Cross Sum Variations, you can also:

• Use different numbers, for example 11 to 19, to create Cross Sum Puzzles
• Choose which operators to use, for example just the plus and minus
• Use fractions in addition to whole numbers. Fractions will be printed as 3/4
• Use the proper math rules for the calculations (multiplication has priority) instead of the standard Cross Sum rules (left to right)

And of course you can customize the font, colors, line width and canvas color

Use the Time Saver for Cross Sum to create a complete puzzle book interior with a single mouse-click. Different puzzles with different rules and optionally different style settings if you want.

Each Time Saver module has two parts:

• Batch creation of puzzles
• Advanced layout options for Instant Puzzle Books

For Batch creation of puzzles you can use the “Fast” mode: Add rows to a table of ‘jobs’, and select the Cross Sum rules for each job. It will use the style and color settings from the current Cross Sum setup.

You can also use the “Preset” mode: This way you can use your own (pre-saved) presets to create the puzzle book. Each preset can be repeated a number of times.

You can even mix the Fast and Preset modes.

In addition to that, the Time Saver allows you to use additional page layouts, up to 10×10 puzzles and solutions per page.

Ease of Use

Puzzle Maker Pro may seem overwhelming at first, but it’s really easy to use:

• Just click Preview to see a new puzzle with the current settings.
• Or click Create to generate any number of puzzles right away
• Customize the style, the rules, etc, then click Preview to see the result, and click Create to generate puzzles. These puzzles will be stored on your computer.

You can use any TrueType font that’s installed on your computer, change colors, line weight, and more, to create sudokus in your own unique style. By using the Preview button, you can see a sudoku puzzle and solution with the new style right away.

Select the presets you want to use, and specify how many of Cross Sum puzzles of each type you want to generate.

Alternatively, add a row to the ‘job table’ for each type of Cross Sum puzzle you want to generate in the Fast mode.

Enable the Time Saver, and then click “Create”.

Of course you can edit the job table after adding rows. You can edit details for each row (job) or delete rows if needed.

You can also save the Time Saver settings as a preset for later (re-) use.

Like any Puzzle Maker Pro module, Cross Sum Variations will create the puzzles and solutions as image files (JPG or PNG) at 300 DPI on your computer. Lightning fast.
