Puzzle Maker Pro – Maze Maker Products

Mazes modules in Puzzle Maker Pro are all powered by maze engines that support several algorithms and options to create unique and varied mazes. Currently there are four different groups of maze makers:

  • Mazes 2D is the name for all the mazes that are fully drawn by our software;
  • Mazes 2D Tiles is a special module where you can and have to use your own tile images with our maze maker. This allows you to create completely unique results;
  • Mazes 3D Isometric is a 3D maze maker. Either flat, or simulating actual height differences with an isometric drawing method;
  • Geometric Mazes is special module to create triangle, hexagon and circle mazes.

All maze generators have some strong features that allow you to create mazes the way you want:

  • Several algorithms to generate a path through the maze
  • Different methods to set the start and end points
  • Custom Start and End point symbols
  • Styling options for background and lines (not available for Mazes 2D Tiles)
  • Options to set and randomize ‘wall’ thickness and and ‘passage’ width and position (not not available for Mazes 2D Tiles)

Create 2D Mazes using random shapes: organic (Voronoi) and triangulation. You can control the number and spread of the maze cells.

With this module you can create:

  • Voronoi Cells, a unique, organically looking pattern. This is used for a.o. train and subway stations maps, but it’s also an organic type of pattern, which resembles the skin pattern of a giraffe.
  • Triangulation, irregular non-overlapping triangles. This pattern is a bit less gentle than the Voronoi pattern, and it’s also a unqiue type of maze.
